"We will firmly prevent and crack down on any words and deeds that would damage children's interests or harm their physical and mental health."

Xi Jinping, president of China, said during an address to 1,600 children from across the country at Beijing Children's Palace before International Children's Day.

"I strongly oppose the auction of letters between me, Qian Zhongshu and our daughter Qian Yuan by any company or individual without our permission. We have never authorized any company or individual to deal with or auction our letters."

"It is very important for Mexico to diversify its economy, and an ideal partner would be China since it is the most dynamic economy in the world."

Jose Rivera Banuet, executive secretary-general of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean, at the 2013 special conference of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties, themed "Promoting green development and beautiful Asia together". Investments and joint ventures from China are most welcome in Latin America, he said.
