Top 10 cities with strongest spending power

The latest report by 21st Century Business Herald has revealed China's two international metropolis Shanghai and Beijing have played a leading role in the country's consumption upgrading.

According to the report, Shanghai has become the city with the strongest spending power, reporting 567 billion yuan ($85 billion) of retail sales in the first half (H1) of 2017, the highest amount of all cities. It also stated Shanghai outpaced Beijing in retail sales of consumer goods for the very first time.

The top 10 cities with the strongest spending power are listed below:

No 10 Hangzhou
