Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi province and one of the hottest tourism destinations, held theme tourism promotion conferences from Jan 13 to 18 in Beijing, Taiyuan and Shijiazhuang in an effort to further speed up its tourism industry in 2019.

A total of 251 “Xi’an Year” 2019 tourism promotion events themed on history, fashion, folk customs, museums and relics, delicious food and science and technology and other areas were planned and launched.

Most of the events will be held during the coming spring so guests to Xi’an can feel at home for the vacation.

At the promotion meeting, the Xi'an Tourism Development Commission, Xixian New Area, Qujiang New Area, Hancheng Lake, Shijingli Town, Chongwen Tower, Lehua Town and Yongxingfang Town joined hands for upcoming 2019 Spring Festival special activities to promote their own distinct tourism attractions.

At the same time, they extended sincere invitations to the citizens of Beijing, Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province and Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province to "celebrate the Chinese New Year in Xi'an", where they would feel "authentic, most interesting and most popular" by taking part in the most fashionable and flourishing new spring scene.
