The Qingming festival, also known as the tomb-sweeping day, is an important traditional Chinese festival.

"Qingming" means the skies are clear and bright and also refers to the joy of spring.

Around the time of the festival, the weather gets warmer, and the temperatures in northern China rise quickly, while spring rain begins to pour in the south, which is considered a golden gift.

After a long and cold winter, people can't wait to step outside. So they visit the Yuyuantan in Beijing to look at cherry blossoms; go to the foot of the Potala Palace in Lhasa in the Tibet autonomous region for boating; pick tea in the tea gardens in Chongqing, or run in parks where peach flowers bloom in Ningbo, Zhejiang province ...

The arrival of spring brings people to the fields, villages, temples and gardens.

And as they enjoy the beauty of spring they hope that it will bring them good luck for the entire year.
