Tech companies such as Huawei, Alibaba and Tencent released their campus recruitment plans for 2020's new graduates, according to a report by 21st Century Business Herald.

Shenzhen-headquartered Tencent, which recruited 3,100 new graduates last year, plans to hire a total of 3,000 to 3,500 new graduates this year and allocate them into five categories of posts, including technical, product, design, market, and functional.

Technical post accounts for 65 percent of all offers, the highest among all categories.

These jobs are based in cities, including Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Chengdu.

Huawei offers 87 job positions in domestic and foreign cities, such as Shenzhen, Dongguan, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Paris and Moscow, for new graduates in 2020, of which 53 are based in the city of Shenzhen where the company is headquartered.

The company lately announced it will offer a maximum annual salary of 2 million yuan for some top graduates of 2019.

An email from Huawei's executive office showed the company is committed to using top challenges and salaries to attract top talents, according to the report.

According to incomplete statistics, Huawei recruited more than 4,600 new college students last year from 23 top-ranking universities, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xidian University and Southeast University, the report said.

Hangzhou-headquartered Alibaba released 52 job positions in six categories, including technical, design, product, operation, game and others, for its campus recruitment.

In addition to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hangzhou, some of these job are also based in Chengdu, Nanjing, Wuxi, and Sunnyvale in California, according to the company's campus recruitment plan.

Big enterprises normally have business layout throughout the country and even around the world, but most of the positions are based in their headquarters. In the scramble for talents among cities, they have made great contributions, the report said.

In addition, the growing demand and preference for talents in cutting-edge technologies and basic research fields also reflect the transformation and upgrading of a city, the report added.
