Chinese medical herb approved by US botanical council

Panax notoginseng has become another Chinese herb proved to be effective in medical use and is added to the HerbMedPro that provides hyperlinked access to the scientific data underlying the use of herbs for health in the United States.
The Chinese herb was listed on the HerbMedPro on Aug 28 after experts from the American Botanical Council, also known as the Herbal Medicine Institute, reviewed the materials and approved it.
The listing means that panax notoginseng has been recognized as a raw material for producing medicine in the US, which paves the way for the herb to go abroad.
It is another step for Chinese herbs to get into the international market.
