Australia set to open its first surf park
Australia's first surf park is finally filled with water and ready to start making waves. A two-hectare, man-made surfing paradise, Urbnsurf Melbourne took four days to fill the 22,000 square meter water lake.
According to the developers, the wave generator – nicknamed Rory – will pump 1,000 ocean-like waves per hour.
There will be a range of waves customers can surf, with beginners able to get their bearings on small rolling whitewater, while the pros can carve up two-meter barrels all day long.
