Beijing win 4th straight, Bayi end winless streak
BEIJING - Beijing Royal Fighters routed Zhejiang Lions 105-86 on Sunday for their 4th straight win as Bayi Rockets shook off the label of being the remaining winless team in the CBA league.
Kenneth Faried, who played for the Houston Rockets last season, struggled in his debut for Zhejiang with eight points and seven rebounds. The 29-year-old averaged 12.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game over the course of 2018-2019 in NBA.
Beijing fell behind by nine points in the first quarter but bounced back after the halftime, heading into last quarter with a 75-63 advantage. Zhejiang never put together a serious run in the fourth.
It's a historic victory for Beijing, who never beat Zhejiang in the last 11 games.
Kyle Fogg led Beijing with 24 points and 12 assists, Sani Sakakini had 18, and Sun Yue scored 15, his highest output of the season. Zhejiang's Sun Minghui finished with 21 points.
Fu Hao scored a season-high 26 points and 12 rebounds to led Bayi beat Jilin Northeast Tigers 104-94 to end a five-game losing streak since the new season started.
Dominique Jones had a game-high 47 points for Jilin. Bayi's Liu Hangchu notched 23 points, while Lei Meng contributed 19 points.
In Sunday's another games, Shenzhen Aviators had seven players in double figures to defeat Shanghai Sharks 130-122.
