Shanghai Tower's "Top of Shanghai Observatory" tourist attraction, which allows visitors to enjoy a panoramic view of the cityscape, has been receiving tourists since March 12.

According to Shanghai Tower, visitors should make reservations in advance before visiting its sightseeing area. Its current business hours are from 10 am to 8 pm.

"Due to safety concerns, Shanghai Tower has temporarily halved its daily-visitor limit to 5,000," Yang Difei, deputy director of Shanghai Tower Business Operation Co Ltd, was quoted as saying by Zhoudaosh.com, a lifestyle app by local newspaper Shanghai Morning Post.

Meanwhile, 17 municipal-level museums and arts facilities, including Shanghai Museum, Shanghai History Museum, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Natural History Museum, Liu Haisu Art Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai, reopened to the public on March 13. District-level museums have been scheduled to reopen in the coming weeks.

Zhao Guangsheng, deputy director of Shanghai's sports bureau, says more sports venues are also reopening to allow residents to resume their daily workouts.

He says 1,090 of Shanghai's 2,792 sports venues have submitted applications to reopen, and 588 had resumed operations as of March 12. Shanghai's sports administration claims that all the general sports venues can be opened to the public.
