Chongqing and Shaanxi chimpanzees date online

Two female chimpanzees at Chongqing Locajoy Theme Park had a group online date with a male from Xi'an Qinling Wildlife Park on Tuesday, China News Agency reported.
The male, Duo Duo, is 12 years old. During the video call, the two females showed strong feeling toward him. The zoo will try to deepen their communication if both parties are interested, a keeper said.
Chimpanzees use facial expressions, postures and sounds to communicate with each other.
The average lifespan of a chimpanzee in the wild is relatively short, usually less than 15 years. Captive chimps tend to live longer, with average lifespans of 31.7 years for males and 38.7 years for females.
