Traditional clothing highlights fashion show

A fashion show highlighting qipao — a traditional Chinese, body-hugging, one-piece dress, also known as cheongsam — was staged on Sunday in Shenyang, Liaoning province.
The show attracted 25 leading qipao designers from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Shenyang, who presented 75 sets of handmade works.
"Qipao has been passed down from generation to generation. It inherits skills, culture and spirit. I will spare no effort to push forward its development," said Teng Jingrong, an embroidery artist.
