FIVB president meets IOC president
GENEVA -- International Federation de Volleyball (FIVB) president Ary S. Graca met International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach at the Olympic House in Lausanne on Wednesday to discuss the latest FIVB activities, and plans for the future.
"From the start of the pandemic, the FIVB has placed the health and wellbeing of all our stakeholders as our top priority, and this has been reflected in all the decisions we have taken," said Graca when addressing the topic of the global COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on sport.
"Thanks to the FIVB's strong financial position, we have been able to continue supporting our players and national federations through the FIVB Athletes' Relief Support fund and the FIVB Projects Platform 2020," Graca added.
Graca and Bach also talked about the beach volleyball Olympic qualification system and the concepts of some recently held beach volleyball events.
