Lam says elections to ensure patriots administering HK

The 2021 Election Committee's Subsector Ordinary Elections will ensure patriots ensuring Hong Kong, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam said Sunday at a press briefing.
"Today's subsector elections are significant. They are the first elections to implement 'patriots administrating Hong Kong', and they will lay a solid foundation for the upcoming two elections," said Lam.
The elections, which are the first polls under the city's new electoral system, started at 9 am on Sunday.
