A1: This is our second time to participate in the CIIE. The CIIE is no doubt an important open window to communicate with customers and partners extensively and show our in-depth innovation deeply.

Last year, we participated in the CIIE for the first time and gained a very good result. We will release the updated Epson25 Corporate Vision for China market, which indicates environmental protection, digital transformation and co-creation will be key to Epson's further development. So, the CIIE will be a good opportunity for showing our aspiration to achieve sustainability and enrich communities with our innovative technologies and products.

A2: Although the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the world economy to some extent, the overall foundation of the Chinese economy is still solid, and the attitude of open cooperation and the broad market space have not been affected.

During this hard period, the opening of the CIIE has undoubtedly sent a signal to the world that China insists on opening-up to trade liberalization. As for global enterprises, the CIIE gives us a great platform to show our capability for supporting recovery and developing the world economy.

A3: China's import policy is very important for building the new dual-circulation development pattern. Undoubtedly it is of great significance to promote economic development and provide foreign companies opportunities to know more about China users' needs and have the right guidance in promoting business.

For Epson, China has always been one of our very important markets under the opening-up policy. We can introduce our innovative and green technology to Chinese users better. For example, we have inkjet printers with Heat-Free technology, which achieve lower energy consumption and emissions, providing Chinese users a smart and healthy lifestyle. Besides, we can have more opportunities to co-create with Chinese partners, and have a deeper understanding of the Chinese market to launch more suitable solutions for users.

A4: Based on our technology plus localization strategy in China, Epson has paid close attention to the changing trends, made efforts in many innovation areas, like printing, visual, and manufacturing, and achieved a good market performance in recent years. Compared with last year, Epson China will achieve a 15 percent year-on-year growth in fiscal year 2021.

Nowadays, we find that China has focused on promoting technological innovation and industrial digital transformation, and Chinese users prefer a more convenient and smart life. Based on this, Epson actively promotes the printing digital transformation, and with the popularity of mobile devices, Epson launched the convenient WeChat printing solutions. We believe that through these innovative products and solutions, we can better match the needs of Chinese users, and let us get more market opportunities.

A5: From the past decades, China's opening-up policy boosted its economy and promoted China's active integration into the global value chain. China made great contribution to the sustainable development of the global economy.

As a foreign company, we have full confidence in the China market based on China's opening-up policy and actions, especially the performance of the Chinese economy during the pandemic.

A6: By both policy formulation and real actions, China has shown a high-level opening-up to the world, which is of great significance to the economic recovery and provides many development opportunities for foreign enterprises.

As for Epson, thanks for the policy, we became one of the earliest international companies that entered the China market and is growing with China. Over the past 40 years, we have always taken seriously what Chinese customers want, insisted on technology plus localization strategy, and co-created with many remarkable Chinese partners in delivering environmental-friendly solutions tailored for the China market.

A7: We believe that the Chinese government's opening-up policy is a high-level and excellent policy that meets the needs of economic globalization.

Under this policy, we will continue to innovate, contribute to the digital transformation of the industry and the sustainable development of society, and actively co-create with Chinese partners to bring more excellent products and solutions to users.

A8: Under this economy situation, free trade and multilateralism are important for the whole world. The CIIE is really a good example, as it has not only provided a window for China to share the achievements of development in the new era, but also contributed to the building of a multilateral trading system, through which China shows the great responsibility and determination in promoting economy recovery and strong willingness to opening-up. As a foreign innovative company, this gives us great confidence in China. We believe that based on China's open policy and attitude, more foreign enterprises will be attracted to invest in the country and make the Chinese market more prosperous.
