Delivering better life to Chinese people ultimate goal of CPC: Xi

The Communist Party of China (CPC) has a grand but simple goal, which is essentially about delivering a better life to all Chinese people, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Wednesday. Putting people first is the CPC's fundamental philosophy of governance, said Xi during a virtual meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

China to strengthen anti-pandemic cooperation with Russia: Xi

President Xi said that China will strengthen cooperation with Russia in areas including COVID-19 virus testing, as well as vaccine and drug development.

At a virtual meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Xi said China and Russia have been actively cooperating in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic since last year, vividly illustrating the connotation of bilateral relations featuring mutual assistance, and making positive contributions to promoting international solidarity against COVID-19 and building a global community of health for all.

China, Russia should never allow external interference in SCO countries' internal affairs: Xi

China and Russia should never allow any external forces to interfere in the internal affairs of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), President Xi said.

Xi made the remarks during a virtual meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Xi praised the high-level strategic coordination between the two countries since the SCO was established 20 years ago.

The two countries have firmly adhered to the "Shanghai Spirit" along with other SCO members, constantly enhanced mutual trust and deepened cooperation in all fields, Xi added.

China and Russia should support member countries of the SCO to steadily carry forward their major domestic political agendas, and never allow any external forces to interfere in the internal affairs of the regional countries under any excuses, Xi said.

China, Russia to boost BRICS cooperation in various fields: Xi

President Xi said China is willing to maintain high-level strategic coordination with Russia, and work together to comprehensively enhance the cooperation in various fields among BRICS countries.

Xi made the remarks at a virtual meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

China will take over as the chair of BRICS next year and host events including the 14th BRICS summit, Xi said.
