The Hurun Research Institute unveiled Hurun Top Chinese Jewelry Brands 2022 on Jan 18, 2022, in Shanghai, ranking 70 Chinese jewelry brands for the first time in terms of company's scale, brand strategy and sales channels.
The top 70 brands largely fall in retail business, the downstream of the jewelry industry, covering jewelry such as gold, jade, diamond, silver, pearl, color jewel and platinum. According to Hurun, the total volume of the retail sales for China's jewelry industry in 2020 reached 610 billion yuan ($96.16 billion). Gold jewelry accounted for 56 percent of the total, followed by jade at 20 percent and diamond at 13 percent.
