Starting a business in Thailand in 1983, Banpu Public Company Limited (or Banpu Coal Company Limited at that time) subcontracted a coal mining operation at Banpu Mine (BP-1 Mine) located in Li district, Lamphun province from the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency. In 1989, Banpu was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and later changed its name in 1993 to "Banpu Public Company Limited."

With nearly four decades of experience in business operations both locally and internationally, Banpu has become an International Versatile Energy Provider. The Company aims to deliver the best-in-class energy solutions with our extensive expertise in integrated energy solutions. Banpu's business in China, one of the flagship investments to foster a robust growth while create sustainable value for all stakeholders

Banpu Investment (China) Ltd. or BIC was established in 2003 as a Chinese subsidiary of Banpu. Under the current strategy, the Company is accelerating its business growth in China throughout the entire energy supply chain, including mining and trading, power generation, and renewable energy.

Currently, BIC has operated two mines in Shanxi and Henan provinces, one power plant in Shanxi province, three Combined Heat and Power plants in Hebei, Beijing, and Shandong provinces, as well as seven solar farms in Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhe Jiang provinces.

With expertise from the international and competent local team combined with strong synergy within Banpu group regarding business management and operation, BIC is committed to enhancing Chinese operations and ap?plying various global best practices to achieve state-of-the-art operational standards and create sustainable benefit for all stakeholders.
