China's futures, options transactions continue to expand in 2021

BEIJING - The trading of futures and options in China registered robust growth for a third straight year in 2021, an industrial report showed.
The country's transaction value of futures and options totaled 581.3 trillion yuan ($81.77 trillion) in 2021, up 32.8 percent over 2020, according to a report by the China Futures Association.
The transaction volume of futures and options in China last year made up about 12 percent of the world's total, the report said.
