Innovators and visitors will learn more about intellectual property laws and dispute resolution at the China International Fair for Trade in Services, thanks to a Beijing court.

This year's edition of CIFTIS, one of the world's largest and most comprehensive fairs for trade in services, kicked off on Saturday at the China National Convention Center and Shougang Park in Beijing. It features over 200 activities including forums and summits.

Themed "Opening-up for Better Development, Cooperation for Win-Win Future", the event, which has attracted a large number of exhibitors and visitors from home and abroad, continues until Wednesday.

The Beijing Intellectual Property Court has set up two offices in the center and park to explain IP-related laws to the event participants and help them solve IP-related development difficulties. Many of the participants are focused on areas such as cutting-edge technologies, consumption and finance.

Judges from the offices are not only competent in IP case hearings, but also have vast experience in international exchanges. Their services mainly cover five popular fields — digital trade, development of traditional Chinese medicine, artificial intelligence, computer software and telecom. The judges are also responsible for regulating the IP environment at the exhibition.

CIFTIS is an annual flagship event in China, serving as a vital platform for China to build consensus on global cooperation and promote international exchanges.
