New membership opens the door to global cooperation and innovation in the securities sector.

The Kazakhstan Central Securities Depository is proud to announce its membership in ISSA (International Securities Services Association). Kazakhstan is the only member of Association in the region. This event marks an important step in development of depository and the entire securities market of Kazakhstan, bringing to a new level of international cooperation and innovation.

ISSA — an international association founded in 1979 in Switzerland, uniting more than 130 leading organizations in the securities market from around the world. ISSA consists of central securities depositories, custodians, technology companies and other organizations as members that are actively involved in all aspects of value chain in the securities services industry. These include such companies as Nasdaq Inc, BNP Paribas S.A., BNY Mellon, Citi, Euroclear, HSBC Holding Plc, JP Morgan Chase & Co, SIX Group and others.

ISSA focuses on finding progressive solutions to reduce risks, improve efficiency and effectiveness – from an issuer to an investor – as well as providing intellectual leadership to shape future of the industry. Membership in such large international organization as ISSA offers new opportunities for the Central Securities Depository in cooperation with other industry groups, major international experts and specialists in the field of securities.

Joining ISSA — a significant step for the Central Securities Depository, emphasizing its adherence to high standards and commitment to continuous development. In addition to ISSA, the Central Securities Depository is a permanent member of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD), the Association of European Central Securities Depositories(ECSDA), Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) and the Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG).
