Strides in China's AI application, pathways and communication research on the global stage have been showcased at the IAMCR 2024 Pre-Conference in Wellington, New Zealand, underscoring China's growing influence and contributions to AI-driven transcultural communication.

Organized by the Journal of Transcultural Communication and hosted by Massey University's School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing, the conference themed "AI and the Future of Transcultural Communication" featured insightful discussions on the transformative impact of AI on global media landscapes.

Professor Karen Arriaza Ibarra, chair of IAMCR's International Communication Section (INC), delivered opening remarks, emphasizing AI's potential to advance transcultural communication profoundly.
