CINCINNATI - Aryna Sabalenka defeated world number one Iga Swiatek 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday to reach the final of the WTA and ATP Cincinnati Open, advancing on her 10th match point.
Victory by the double Australian Open champion put Sabalenka into the Monday title match against the winner from American Jessica Pegula and Spain's Paula Badosa.
The victory was revenge for Sabalenka after losing clay finals in Madrid and Rome this season to Swiatek.
