Miao Hua has been dismissed from his position as a member of the Central Military Commission, China's top military decision-making body, after a decision taken at a meeting.
The decision was announced by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, on Friday when it closed its latest session in Beijing, with no more details released.
Public information shows that Miao had served as the CMC's political work chief since 2017, when he was elected as a CMC member at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
In November, Miao was suspended from duty and was placed under investigation on suspicion of seriously violating discipline, the Defense Ministry noted.
