Editor's note: The State Council Information Office held a group interview on Tuesday, during which judicial administration representatives shared their experiences in upholding a people-centered approach and advancing the rule of law in China.

In the past 10 years working in administrative reconsideration, I have handled over 1,000 cases. On one hand, I listen to the people's concerns, explaining the law to them; on the other hand, I review administrative actions, supervise and correct errors. I have also identified common issues in unlawful or improper administrative enforcement and issued over 20 administrative reconsideration recommendations to relevant departments. Rooted in facts and guided by the law, I strive to ensure that every applicant experiences fairness and justice in administrative reconsideration cases, ultimately achieving the resolution of the case.

Over the past 30 years, I have witnessed the fruits of the rule of law in rural areas. As a legally savvy villager, I have leveraged my role to raise legal awareness among villagers. Recognizing the difficulty elderly people in rural areas face in identifying telecom fraud, I visited households to promote anti-fraud knowledge. I believe that only by understanding the law myself can I help the villagers to understand. I also organized a volunteer legal education team, providing over 1,000 free legal education sessions across 67 villages in five nearby townships.

I have been working at the justice bureau since 1994. Despite my leg disability, I ride a motorcycle through streets and alleys at the grassroots level to provide legal services. I realized that what the villagers care about is not whether I can move quickly, but whether my heart is in the right place. By upholding the service principle of "the people speak, and the officials do the legwork", I have earned the trust and recognition of the locals. I have successfully mediated over 2,400 disputes, and my passion for the work has been key to resolving conflicts. Though I have a disability, I have found great value in this role.

For 17 years, I have been working on the front line of arbitration and have handled over 4,000 cases. My mission is to provide the public with inclusive, equal, efficient, convenient, intelligent and precise legal services through arbitration. We are committed to the principle of serving the people, striving to help enterprises resolve cross-border disputes and using our professional expertise to offer robust legal support for businesses seeking to expand internationally. Additionally, I regularly visit communities, factories and companies to provide legal consultations, ensuring that the public feels the protection of the rule of law is always within reach.

During my three years of providing public interest legal services in the Xizang autonomous region and two years of volunteering in legal aid work in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, I have handled over 500 legal aid cases and provided legal consultations to more than 4,000 people, helping people from all ethnic groups recover nearly 10 million yuan in economic losses. Through organizing legal education lectures, we also nurtured a group of legal leaders in local ethnic communities. I firmly believe that a lawyer's value is not only reflected in the courtroom, but also in making legal services accessible to every household.
