With an installed capacity of 1.4 million kilowatts, this "energy giant" boasts a unit's start-up and shut-down success rate of 99.87 percent and an energy conversion efficiency of 80 percent. It has met the demand for power usage during peak times in spring and summer.
It has also effectively solved the intermittency problem of new energy in northwestern China, where the penetration rate of new energy installed capacity exceeds 50 percent.
