Rainstorms leave 8 dead, 18 missing in North China county

SHIJIAZHUANG, July 30 (Xinhua) -- The latest round of heavy rains have left eight people dead and 18 missing in Xinglong county in North China's Hebei province, local authorities said late Wednesday.
The rainstorms had wreaked havoc on some villages in Liudaohe township, said the rescue headquarters, adding that the rescue and search operation is still ongoing.
