Moore Kingston Smith, a multidisciplinary advisory, tax and audit firm, hosted a business forum in London on Tuesday to promote cooperation between China and the United Kingdom.

Held under the theme "Bridging cultures, building partnerships", the event brought together around 100 business leaders, government representatives, and trade experts to discuss opportunities for bilateral trade and investment.

Representatives of trade and investment promotion agencies from Shanghai, Shenzhen, Qingdao, and Jiangsu province shared successful cases of foreign investment in their regions, including AstraZeneca's new factory in Qingdao and the growing popularity of Brompton bicycles in Shanghai.

They also outlined emerging opportunities for international investors, such as zero-carbon industrial parks in Jiangsu and new incentive policies to encourage innovation in Shenzhen.

In the panel discussion, experts from Bank of China, China UK Business Development Center, Suffolk County Council, and consulting firm Gateley Global discussed cross-border collaboration and compliance. They emphasized the huge potential for Chinese companies in fintech, clean tech, and the sustainable economy in the UK, and urged businesses to go outside London for more opportunities.
