Nippon Paint China world premiered its integrated coating solutions for low-altitude flights at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), aiming to enhance the safety and durability of both aircraft and ground infrastructure.

The dual-component system features protective coatings for aircraft and specialized surface treatments for takeoff and landing facilities, designed to enhance operational safety across logistics, agriculture, emergency services, tourism and urban transportation sectors.

At CIIE, Nippon Paint China signed a strategic cooperation with Govy, GAC Group's low-altitude mobility brand, to develop coating technologies for flying cars, lightweight material protection, and sustainable solutions.

"By entering the low-altitude economy sector, we aim to leverage our materials expertise to strengthen this emerging industrial ecosystem with partners like Govy."

The coating technology aims to address key challenges in low-altitude aviation through enhanced thermal protection for aircraft bodies, minimizing deformation risks in carbon fiber composites while offering superior weather resistance under extreme conditions. The coating also achieves a 20 percent weight reduction compared to conventional aviation coatings, advancing lightweight design capabilities.

For ground infrastructure, the company developed a comprehensive coating system for vertical takeoff and landing facilities. The solution features advanced wash-down resistance, weather durability and anti-slip properties, protecting facilities from sustained sun exposure and repeated aircraft operations. The system extends to taxiways, parking aprons and hangars, optimizing maintenance efficiency and reducing life cycle costs.
