Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday that China has never believed any country has the right to act as "international police" and does not accept that any country can style itself as an "international judge", stressing that the sovereignty and security of all countries must be fully protected under international law.

Wang made the remarks in Beijing while holding the seventh round of the China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

During the talks, both nations agreed to uphold the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and oppose hegemonic acts that infringe upon the sovereignty of other countries.

Noting that the sudden escalation of events in Venezuela had attracted widespread international attention, Wang said China has consistently opposed the use or threat of force in international relations, and rejects imposing one country's will on others.

Wang added that China stands ready to work with the international community, including Pakistan, to firmly uphold the UN Charter, defend the moral bottom line of international relations, uphold the principle of sovereign equality, jointly safeguard world peace and development, and advance the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to the one-China principle and said Pakistan will continue to firmly support China on all issues involving China's core interests. Noting that the international order is under severe strain, he said Pakistan is willing to strengthen multilateral coordination with China to jointly address global challenges.

Both nations also held comprehensive and in-depth strategic communication on international and regional issues of mutual concern, reaching broad consensus.

Wang also noted that Dar was the first foreign minister to be received by China in 2026, underscoring the unique friendship between China and Pakistan, and expressed hope that the visit would serve as an opportunity to launch activities marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Both nations agreed to strengthen high-level exchanges and interactions at all levels, deepen strategic communication and coordination, jointly commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of diplomatic ties, and consolidate public support for China-Pakistan friendship.

Prior to the talks, the two nations jointly unveiled the commemorative logo marking the 75th anniversary, and visited a photo exhibition celebrating the anniversary.
