China Railway to optimize supply of passenger, freight services

A staff member of Taiyuan West Station in Shanxi province loads fertilizer bags onto a train bound for Yunnan province, where spring plowing is in full swing. The railway employees are working to ensure timely delivery of Shanxi-produced agricultural material to Yunnan’s croplands for help in its farming season. During its recent annual work conference, Chinese railway operator China Railway promised to optimize the supply of passenger and freight services, better developing a modern logistics system and strengthening the backbone role of railways in the comprehensive transport system.
