Shanghai Disney Resort has announced its 10th birthday celebration on Thursday, set to commence on March 20. It will feature an array of entertainment offerings, themed merchandise, special culinary experiences, and festive decorations throughout the resort.

"For nearly a decade since its grand opening, Shanghai Disney Resort has continued to push the boundaries of imagination, delivering enchanting experiences that bring Disney storytelling and creativity into every moment and spread the magic to guests of all ages worldwide," said Andrew Bolstein, president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort.

"To celebrate this 10-year milestone, our amazing cast members have spent the past two years pouring their hearts and energy into preparing a spectacular celebration, and we can't wait to create even more magic alongside our guests in the year ahead," he added.

At the heart of the celebration are three major new and enhanced live entertainment experiences that will headline a lineup of performances throughout the anniversary year.

A brand-new entertainment show will debut on the newly renovated enchanted storybook castle stage. The venue features three new satellite stages, creating an expanded and immersive performance space. The show will feature Mickey and friends, and characters from nine classic Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films.

The Mickey's storybook express parade will receive new additions for the celebration. A brand-new pre-parade will make its debut, featuring all seven Duffy and friends characters dressed in new celebration outfits. Additionally, a new Zootopia parade unit will join the main parade.

The nighttime spectacular will undergo enhancements for the celebration. Projected on the Disney castle, the updated show will incorporate new Disney stories with visual effects and immersive sound design. One of the additions is a new segment inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios' film Wish.

Beyond entertainment offerings, the resort will introduce the new celebration troupe, and the entire resort will be adorned with new celebratory decorations. Mickey and friends, along with Duffy and friends, will appear in new outfits and celebration looks created specifically for the anniversary.

To mark the resort's 10th birthday, multiple restaurants throughout the property will offer special noodles. This culinary journey will also feature popular snacks from various regions of China, and fan-favorite food items from the past decade will make limited-time returns.
