The tourism market of Xifeng county, Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, saw strong growth during the Spring Festival holiday by tapping into its rich cultural and tourism resources and hosting a series of interactive and sports activities.
The Xifeng Concentration Camp Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, a national patriotic education base, received over 33,000 visits during the holiday, up 13.43 percent year on year, with themed study tours for students focused on revolutionary history.
Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring reported year-on-year increases of 9.92 percent in visitor numbers and 2.35 percent in total revenue. "The hot spring water in Xifeng is excellent, and the service is always great. Every visit is relaxing, and my children have a wonderful time," said Tang Yun, a visitor from downtown Guiyang.
Road trips and rural leisure tourism continued to gain momentum, with visitors at the riverside "Youjian Nanshan" guesthouse enjoying panoramic views of the Wujiang Gorge. Villages across Xifeng organized diverse Spring Festival activities, including basketball games, tug-of-war competitions, and traditional dragon dance performances, adding to the holiday atmosphere.
