China Eastern launches direct flights between Shanghai and Adelaide

China Eastern Airlines is launching a direct flight between Shanghai and Adelaide in Australia, starting June 20.
The Shanghai-based carrier says the new summertime route is part of efforts to optimize its international network, with the aim of boosting tourism, trade and cultural links between the two cities.
Operating every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, the Shanghai-Adelaide flight will depart from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 19:40, and return from Adelaide the following day.
The flights will run between June 20 and August 2, with tickets available for purchase on the China Eastern website as well as on the airliner's app.
