Lishan Torch Festival concludes in Chongqing, draws over 100,000 visitors

On Tuesday night, the 2026 Lishan Torch Festival concluded on a high note in Chongqing's Bishan district. The five-day celebration of intangible cultural heritage drew over 100,000 visitors, including international guests from countries such as Russia, Spain, and Lithuania.
While most Chinese people celebrate Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month, residents in the Lishan Mountain area maintain a unique tradition of celebrating it a day earlier.
