Canadian expert Stephen Rancourt has lived in Shanghai for more than two decades. Through his work, he has gained an understanding of how China's procuratorates work.
He noted that China's procuratorates do not merely address issues superficially but are committed to resolving them systematically, citing the construction of accessible environments as a key focus of their public interest litigation efforts. He said that amidst the city's prosperity a touch of social warmth is also brought to people's lives by the work of the procuratorates.
