Director Liu Jiang said the drama represents a successful attempt to combine storytelling with cultural tourism. He hopes the drama will inspire more viewers to discover the natural beauty of Zhoushan and the enterprising spirit of its residents.

Actress Zhang Xueying, who plays the protagonist Lin Li, said she strongly identified with the character because their life journeys share similarities. Zhang began her acting career as a child artist at the age of 6, filming her debut project in Hengdian World Studios, the country's largest film and television production base. In Seascape of the Heart, Lin is introduced in the opening scenes as striving to build a career in Hengdian.

"I grew very fond of Lin Li because she feels so full of life. She has spent years working tirelessly in Hengdian — efficient, pragmatic, resilient, and always handling challenges with professionalism and composure.
