Tiffany & Co. held a grand opening celebration for its new flagship store at Taikoo Li Sanlitun in Beijing on March 14. Among those in attendance were Tiffany's global house ambassador Zhang Ziyi, China house ambassadors Tang Yan and Zhang Ruoyun, China brand ambassadors Zhong Chuxi, Song Yuqi, Li Yunrui, Wang Xingyue, Tiffany China president Luan Lan, and Swire Properties retail director Han Zhi, who joined the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

That evening, Tiffany hosted an exclusive dinner at Su Garden, located on the rooftop of the National Convention Center Phase II. Designed by Xue Lingen, a master craftsman of the Xiangshan School, the garden merges traditional layouts with modern technology to evoke the elegance and poetic sensibility of Jiangnan gardens. As the timeless charm of Eastern gardens meets the whimsical creativity of Tiffany's designer Jean Schlumberger, a dialogue across time unfolds amid "birdsong and floral fragrance". The evening featured a Peking Opera performance by rising artist Guo Yu'ang and a dance, both adding a theatrical flourish to the setting.

The flagship store's fa?ade, designed by MVRDV architecture firm, draws inspiration from the refined forms of legendary designer Elsa Peretti's classic works. Constructed from locally produced, recycled finned glass, it blends poetic rhythm with geometric aesthetics, creating a wave-like visual effect with a gradient blue luster that shifts with the light.

Inside, the store integrates craftsmanship, art, and heritage, offering an immersive experience that extends beyond traditional retail. On the first floor, crystal chandeliers and champagne-toned gold leaf ceilings cast a warm, luminous glow. Handcrafted walls with golden detailing heighten the sense of refinement, framing classic collections such as the Tiffany HardWear, Tiffany Lock, Tiffany Knot, and Tiffany T series, alongside watch pieces. A bronze sculpture titled "Pair" by British artist Tony Cragg, stands next to the staircase, guiding guests upward.

The second floor continues its artistic journey. Visitors are greeted by the artwork "Color & Light" by Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, while a chandelier made of colorful petals hangs overhead, reflecting the captivating brilliance of Tiffany's classic engagement rings and diamond pieces. The space also features Tiffany's iconic Diamond Eye art installation, expressing a contemporary elegance through radiant design. A classic window display named "Cupid's Arrows" arranges golden arrows into a heart motif, celebrating the theme of love that has been part of the brand's DNA since 1837.

Throughout the store, additional works deepen the dialogue between art and design, including a 1900 Tiffany dogwood lamp and Endless Blue No. 3 by Chinese artist Wang Xiyao.

The flagship also hosts a special limited-time exhibition titled "Birds in Bloom", open to the public from April 1 to May 27. Bringing together several pieces from Jean Schlumberger's collection, the exhibition highlights the artist's imaginative, nature-inspired vision. Four creative window displays anchor the exhibition, including one inspired by Schlumberger's iconic "Bird on a Rock" design, depicting birds circling above the Great Wall, linking the brand's classic symbols with Beijing's cultural landscape. Other windows pay tribute to the rich creative legacy of the brand's legendary designers, incorporating Schlumberger's classic fish-shaped brooch and Louis Comfort Tiffany's unique artistic aesthetics.

Alongside antique jewelry, the store also features a selection of historic lamps created by Louis Comfort Tiffany, the founder's son.

Additional masterpieces from the Tiffany Archive are also on display at the Beijing SKP boutique and Shanghai IFC boutique from March 14 to May 27, celebrating the brand's nearly two centuries of creativity and exceptional craftsmanship.

The opening of the Sanlitun Taikoo Li flagship marks another milestone in Tiffany's expansion in China, reaffirming its long-term commitment to the market and its growing community of Chinese clients.
