Medicine: US-made ReNu removed

The Shanghai Food and Drug Administration said all US-made ReNu MoistureLoc
contact lens solution has been removed from stores across the city while US
authorities are reportedly investigating a ReNu MultiPlus solution made by
Bausch & Lomb.
About 98 percent of ReNu MoistureLoc sold on the Chinese mainland is made in
Beijing. The remainder is imported from the United States. SFDA said authorities
ordered stores to pull the product in mid April. Customers can exchange US-made
solution with domestically-made products.
Bausch & Lomb China claimed all ReNu MultiPlus solution sold on the
mainland is produced domestically and people need not be anxious about the
investigation in the United States.
