Machinery: Converting producers

German industrial giant Siemens and Swiss automation and technology firm ABB
were voted the top two converter brands in China in a survey of converter users
conducted by Machinery and Electronic Product Market, a leading trade journal
about the electronics industry.
Due to their relatively low brand
recognitions among customers, domestically made converters only command 20 to 25
per cent of the local market.
This is forecast to grow to a 120 billion
yuan (US$15 billion) to 180 billion yuan (US$22.5 billion) market in the next 10
years, the survey found.
