China Resources to sell piped gas

Ltd plans to sell its piped gas, chemicals distribution and petroleum-related
businesses in China to its parent for US$356 million to focus on
consumer-oriented sectors.
According to Reuters, the Beijing-backed
conglomerate, which kicked off a corporate overhaul in 2005, intends to keep
selling non-core units to concentrate on developing retail, food and a brewery
business on the mainland and Hong Kong run jointly with SABMiller
