BOC to launch private banking services

Bank of China (BOC) said yesterday that it would launch
private banking services in cooperation with its equity partner Royal Bank of
Scotland, to become the first local bank catering to the country's growing
number of millionaires and wealthy clients.
The services, targeting customers with at least $1 million in disposable assets, will initially be provided in Beijing and Shanghai starting from March 28, and will expand to other large cities later.
