BEIJING - The number of tourists from the Chinese mainland to Taiwan hit a record high of 3.4 million in 2015, according to a statement of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council on Wednesday.
The statement said about 9.86 million people made cross-Strait trips in total, an expansion of 4.7 percent from the year before.
