WPMI partners with Sino Life in health insurance

Sino Life Insurance Co Ltd has signed a preliminary strategic partnership agreement with WPMI to cooperate in exploring China's specialized health insurance market.
WPMI is a Seattle-based joint venture owned by Mountlake Terrace-based Premera, Wellpoint of Indianapolis and Blue Cross of Idaho, which has an office in Shanghai.
It will use its technology, expertise and experience to help Sino Life expand the latter's market share. Sino Life is expected to establish a health insurance company in 2007.
