Another large cap, China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co Ltd (CPIC), will soon add another billion new shares into the market. CPIC will start accepting online subscription for its retail tranche tomorrow.
Expected to be set at 27 to 30 yuan apiece for the subscription price, CPIC might be chased by investors as the second most expensive share, following China Shenhua, in almost three months. This, the capital diversion by the offering, could be another factor for poor performances from Chinese stocks today, analysts said.
