China's stocks close lower Friday

BEIJING - Chinese shares fell Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closing down 0.15 percent, or 4.40 points, to end at 2,893.74 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index declined 0.28 percent, or 36.08 points, to end at 12,759.60.

Total turnover shrank to 183.53 billion yuan ($27.56 billion), down from 215.9 billion yuan the previous trading day.
