Chinese shares close lower on Thursday

BEIJING -- Chinese shares fell for the sixth consecutive trading day on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.19 percent, or 5.21 points, to 2,736.53.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.73 percent, or 84.72 points, to close at 11,530.7.
