Datang Brilliant Media, established in 2004, is a television series production company, which deals with businesses including television drama investment, distribution, marketing and artist management.
The discreet value of Datang Brilliant Media is about 1 billion yuan ($161 million), according to the statement. By the end of 2013, it had produced 24 television series, amounting to 753 episodes.
Once the deal closes, Datang Brilliant Media will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhongnan Heavy Industries, part of the manufacturer's attempt to develop its business in a diverse way.
