About Nao and its maker

Nao is a programmable humanoid robot developed by French company Aldebaran Robotics. The company's founder and CEO, Bruno Maisonnier, told the audience at SYNC that his view on robots was that they could be everywhere for everyone. He believes robots are made to interact with people. Nao, for example, is described by him as "your best companion for education and research." His company also has a robot called Pepper that can read people's emotions.
