Irish President Michael D Higgins visited Jack Ma at the headquarters of Alibaba in Hangzhou when he was on a state visit in China in December 2014. They discussed how to use the e-commerce platform to promote trade between Ireland and China. During their meeting, Ma even performed tai chi for President Higgins.
