In China, there are huge disparities in the market. At one end automaker-authorized shops, known as 4S shops, dominate the market and at the other end small shops offer poor quality products at low prices.

"Chinese consumers do have demands for quality and convenience at the same time. TyrePlus as a pioneer specializing in express services focusing on tires, lubricants and brakes has formulated a unique standard through years' of understanding of the China market," said Videau.

Michelin has strict and high standards for TyrePlus, including 111 standard operation procedure items, a neat and clean working area and first-class hardware.

"We also build strategic partnerships with top brands, such as Bosch, Total, Castrol, Shell and Henkel. We maintain a strict set of processes and requirements in selecting product partners. This ensures that all tires, engine oil and brake parts meet TyrePlus' stringent safety and professional standards," said Videau.

IT support for TyrePlus, including a monitoring and auditing system to track customer service records, and all-round support by Michelin Training Center also help maintain high standards.

According to China's Talent Shortage Report, which was jointly published by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor and Social Security and six other ministries, there is a shortage of at least 1 million professionals in China's auto aftermarket.
